Classroom Activities with Teen Conversation Partners at ECI Student with American Homestay Family Afternoon Break During Summer Program SUMMER PROGRAM 2011 ~ PROGRAMA DEL VERANO 2011 1-10 Weeks/ $985us per week  plus registration~ 1-10 Semanas/$985us cada semana mas registro ECI offers international students the opportunity to study for one semester or one year at a public high school. Students who have demonstrated sufficient English ability are eligible to apply. Once accepted, students are placed at a public high school in California. Students may enroll starting in September or January, in keeping with American academic school year. Each student is assigned a counselor whose job it is to make sure the student makes a smooth transition to American culture. From the time students arrive in the U.S. until the time they leave, ECI staff provides constant monitoring and support, assuring that the students mature and develop in an atmosphere that is both intellectually challenging and personally rewarding. ECI Host Families Students stay with a carefully screened and selected host family in the community. ECI stays in contact with the student, school and host family on a regular basis to ensure a quality experience for all involved. Additional Activities ECI conducts cross-cultural events for exchange students, host families and friends. These events are designed to give all who participate an opportunity to share different aspects of their cultures with one another. In addition, on school holidays, ECI plans an chaperones educational tours based on the interests of the group. Exchange students may participate in these additional activities with the permission of their parents. All activities are well planned and supervised by senior ECI staff.
