BILINGUAL EXCHANGE AND THE ACOMPAÑANTES PROGRAM

EXPERIENCIAis a school that also offers foreign language classes for Mexican students. The establishment of bilingual exchange, or "intercambios", years ago has made the school well-known in Cuernavaca because apart from teaching languages it actively contributes to a better intercultural understanding and friendship between foreign  students and local Mexican students.

In Tepoztlán, the Acompañantes Program fosters this intercultural understanding as well as providing an opportunity for students to integrate learning the language in a more natural conversational setting. Students are matched to Villagers from Tepoztlán. Three afternoons a week they converse at the school, in a local restaurant, visit the local market, climb to the Tepozteco Pyramid, or somewhere else of their own choosing.
