We have 3 different
Spanish immersion study options in Puerto Escondido. Experiencia Spanish Puerto Escondido: Family operated school by the Ballinas family, offers private and small group classes, family homestays with a Mexican family and residence options right on the beach. Includes surfing and other adventure options. All Spanish instructors hold a degree specializing in the teaching of Spanish as a second language. This program is rich with cultural activities during the afternoons and weekend excursions including weekend trips to Oaxaca City including pyramid sites of Mitla and Monte Alban. Experiencia Puerto Escondido also has campuses in Cuernavaca and Tepoztlan, Mexico, allowing you to combine studies in different locations. Ramon can set up weekend travel adventures and ecological tours. Surfing lessons and board rentals are possible. Aventuras Languages can also help you combine studies with other schools throughout Mexico.
Instituto Linguistico Puerto Escondido: Offers classes, homestay and pseudo-homestay with a more private 'çome and go' feel though meals with your hosts. Brian arranges your accommodations and sets up private or small group classes for you. He can also arrange surfing lessons, board rental and other adventure and ecological options. Staying with a Mexican homestay family. The ' pseudo-homestay' option is the chance to live with a couple in more of a B&B option where you have the option to share meals with them or go out on your own. Great views of the beach from the school only a few blocks away.
José Luis Avendaño Montesinos: We also offer private Spanish instruction with José , our friend and Spanish instructor of more than 10 years, at your location or around town. José was trained as an attorney but has spent more than 25 years teaching high school and working for the Cuernavaca campus of Experiencia. He comes to Puerto Escondido to teach classes in a formal and informal manner using structured language instruction and 'in vivo' use of conversational Spanish out and about in Puerto Escondido and other locations nearby. He plays guitar and sings and often takes students to local cafes and other venues where he sits in playing with other musicians. He can also teach you guitar either in Spanish or in English. Students enjoy his personal style, sense of humor, positive upbeath nature and joy of life. José is also available for live voice-based internet classes from 1 hour to several per week to fit your schedule. Students find these lessons a great way to prepare for Spanish immersion studies as well as post-study classes to protect your investment of time and money after your return.
