Experiencia, Centro Cultural
Located in the downtown area of the city of Cuernavaca, 1 hour south of Mexico City.

Cuernavaca is the Capital City of the State of Morelos, Mexico. Located only 45 minutes from Mexico City (one hour and thirty minutes from the international airport) by way of the Mexico-Acapulco expressway. Curenavaca is known world-wide as "The City of Eternal Spring" due to its excellent temperate climate with an annual average of 20ºC.

This casual city also attracts people who seek a sunny place for creative or intellectual inquiry; where they can find cultural stimulation and spirited conversations. Residents have included Erich Fromm, Diego Rivera, Carlos Fuentes, Helen Hayes, Malcolm Lowry, Ivan Illich, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Barbara Hutton, Rufino Tamayo, David Alfaro Siqueiros, to name a few.

Cuernavaca has also been established as an international learning center for Mexico's Language, Culture and history.

For many years, Cuernavaca has been known as a resort where both Mexicans and foreigners come to enjoy the clean air, relax and enjoy the incomparable climate. The city has many gardens, museums and tourist attractions. Within a 40 km radius, sports like water-skiing, fishing, hunting, horse back riding and mountain climbing can be practiced.

Cuernavaca attracts Mexican and foreign tourists from all over the world. It is an ideal place for those who want to learn Spanish and experience the complete Mexican culture.

About us….

Experiencia Centro Cultural was founded in 1977 as one of the first Spanish Language institutes in Cuernavaca (celebrating 30 year!) We are members of AIPEC (an association of language schools in Cuernavaca). Experiencia is a small and friendly language school. Both students and teachers view the school as their second home because of its easy and relaxed atmosphere. All classes take place under the palm trees of the school's garden beneath the tropical sun of Cuernavaca.

Experiencia has carefully selected each member of its teaching staff. All the teachers have more than 20 years experience in teaching Spanish and are continually trained. We are continually evaluating our program and incorporating changes to provide an excellent education.

SPANISH LAGUANGE IMMERSION PROGRAM:

Experiencia offers the most complete Spanish immersion program around, with bilingual exchange, daily lectures discussing Mexican topics; sports, videos, and also weekly excursions.

-25 hours of Intensive Spanish Language Course per week

Intensive Spanish Language Course:

The Spanish course welcomes everyone: from complete beginners to advanced students; from children and families, teenagers, retired persons; college students to professional people. The course includes pronunciation, conversation, listening comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary expansion. The course is offered for the rank beginner, intermediate, and advanced level student. All levels of instruction begin every Monday all throughout the year. Students` Spanish level will be established upon your arrival at the school through a written test and an oral interview.

The course is comprised of Spanish classes with 5 hours per day and 2 extra hours in the afternoon of cultural programming.

Our language course is designed for 16 weeks. Students can register for any number of weeks starting every Monday of the year.

Each course is attended by no more than five students per group, so students get individual attention to accelerate progress.

HOUSING

Students may choose two different type of housing arrangements: Home stay or School dorms.

Living with a Mexican family is for most students another important experience of staying in Mexico. For the school, this living arrangement is an integral part of the language program. The family will help students with homework and also with improvement of conversation fluency. We have carefully selected the families; each student will feel as another family member. All home stays are no more than 15 minutes walking distance from the school.

2) School dorms.

This option is excellent for those students that plan to travel and wish to meet and interact with other foreign students. We offer different types of rooms according to their needs.

Services

Students who stay at the School dorms or with a home stay have the following services and facilities at the school: Internet access, safe deposit box, money exchange, long distance calls, fax, prepaid calling cards, laundry, tourist information, library, T.V. room, swimming pool, Kitchen facilities.
