The Institute

IC is located in downtown Viña del Mar next to the Quinta Vergara, an old residence that has been converted into a museum and garden and is now home to Viña’s famous International Music Festival. Our teachers are qualified professionals who have been educated in the area of Spanish language teaching to foreign students. In addition, we have comfortable classrooms, one of which is complete with an audio-visual system. We also have a computer lab with free Internet access and email account.

Programs and Services

We offer the option to participate in Spanish programs of varying lengths. These programs are created for students with different language abilities and different interests. If you wish to spend a vacation in this beautiful city and at the same time develop your Spanish language skills, or if you wish to increase your academic aptitude of Spanish language, our institute has a program for you. You will also be able to enjoy Viña del Mar through social activities guided by our team. Our personnel will be available 24 hours a day to ensure that you enjoy your time in the most beautiful and friendly city of Chile: Viña del Mar, The Garden-City.

Students can choose between the following types of accommodations:

•  Lodging with a Chilean family:

Students live with Chilean families in houses that are located no more than 30 minutes from the institute in either Valparaiso or Viña del Mar . Students have a private room and are given 3 – 4 meals a day depending on the customs of the household. The cost of staying with a family is:

•  Other forms of lodging:

If students choose not to live with a family they will be assisted in finding another form of housing. Prices for the alternative types of accomodations vary depending on the time of year. In general, they are higher during the Chilean summer, December – March. Possibilities for alternative housing are:
